Hospice providers are required to have two separate user IDs to submit Hospice Item Set (HIS) records and access CASPER reports:
Step 1: CMSNet User ID
Go to the CMSNet registration portal.
Complete the self-registration form with your facility’s CCN and contact info.
Wait approximately 2 business days to receive your CMSNet credentials by email.
Install the required VPN software (e.g., Juniper/Ivanti) to access CMSNet.

Step 2: QIES User ID (Hospice Submission ID)
Use your CMSNet login to access the QIES system.
Register for your QIES User ID using the online form.
Save the confirmation page with your QIES ID and Facility ID.
Activate the account via the email link before the expiration date.
